Founded by Juan & Shelly Rios in 1998.
It started with a lawnmower nobody wanted
In 1998, Juan Rios's employer was getting rid of an old, broken lawnmower. Most people would have hauled it to the dump. Juan took it home and spent his evenings taking it apart and putting it back together until it ran.
With that one mower he started cutting lawns on the side, early mornings, evenings and weekends, to help provide for his family. Word got around. One yard turned into five, and five turned into a full schedule.
Juan and his wife Shelly worked overtime on the business until it was big enough for both of them to leave their day jobs and commit to it full time. Juan ran the work in the field. Shelly kept customers, schedules and the books running. Together they built Rios Landscaping on a simple idea: show up, do the job right, and treat every customer like a neighbor.
Family and longtime friends
Today Rios Landscaping runs three full crews, and most of the people on them are family members and family friends. Many have been with us for years. That's why our customers see familiar faces on their property, and why the work gets done the way Juan would do it himself.
We've grown from mowing lawns into full landscape construction: patios, retaining walls, drainage, irrigation, demolition and grading, and complete backyard makeovers, along with maintenance for homes, HOAs and commercial properties.
